I’m Meg Johnson, founder of Outta Left Field — a coaching and career support brand built for people who are ready to take one bold left turn at a time toward a better life. As a seasoned C-suite executive, recovery advocate, and lifelong learner, I know what it takes to rebuild, reinvent, and move forward with purpose.
Outta Left Field was born from my own journey through addiction recovery, leadership roles, and countless pivots that taught me resilience, adaptability, and the power of having the right support. Today, I work with clients in recovery, as well as anyone committed to personal and professional growth, helping them gain clarity, build confidence, and create actionable plans for success.
In addition to coaching, I embrace a little-known part of my identity — being left-handed — by offering a curated collection of left-handed lifestyle products that make everyday life easier and a little more fun.

Our story
Outta Left Field was born from two things the world doesn’t always make room for: being left-handed and starting over. As a lefty, the founder got used to adapting—flipping notebooks, smudging ink, and fighting scissors that were clearly not made for her. As someone in recovery, she had to rebuild a life that finally fit. Both experiences taught her how to navigate a world that often isn’t designed with people like her in mind. So, she created this space—for the lefties, the misfits, and the comeback crew. It’s more than a shop. It’s a statement: we deserve better tools, better stories, and a little more room to do life our own way.
